Weddings & Functions

Andrew's guitar playing has proved very popular at weddings, dinner parties, soirees, corporate functions and other special events. The guitar can be used to provide a subtle ambient sound that relaxes guests and makes your event even more memorable and entertaining. Andrew supplies his own unobtrusive amplification that allows the guitar to be heard without being over-powering. He is available as a soloist, but also works in duet with a jazz singer, operatic singer, violinist, flautist and another guitarist. Andrew has a vast repertoire covering traditional Classical, Spanish guitar, Latin American, Jazz standards, popular standards, and original compositions.

With many years of experience, Andrew offers a highly professional service, with an easy going manner that takes the stress out of any event. He can tailor his music and performance to suit the occasion. A testimony to this comes in the amount of thank you letters he receives from previous clients, plus requests for repeat appearances. Andrew prides himself on the amount of work he receives by recommendation.

Weddings

Having live music can really add to the ambiance of your Ceremony by having Andrew playing gentle and romantic music whilst your guests are arriving. Andrew also offers you the opportunity to choose a piece that is special to you, and he can arrange it for your ceremony! Or he can write an original composition just for your special day. Alternatively you can look at Andrew’s repertoire list and select your preferred choice of music for the Bride’s entrance, the Signing of the Register and for the couple’s exit from the church or venue. A CD recording of the pieces performed at your ceremony can also be made available to you, along with the original score written for the special event.

Whilst the Bride and Groom are being taken away for photographs your guests can enjoy some relaxing live music whilst they mingle and chat, adding a touch of class to enhance the atmosphere and fill a much forgotten time period. Having live music during your dinner is also a popular choice. Andrew will usually play until the speeches, then quietly pack away and leave.

Having the guitar at your wedding allows you to be original and versatile; as a single guitarist can be more affordable than a group and can fit into almost any space, be it a hot air balloon basket, castle turret, deck of a yacht or corner of a room packed full of guests!
